from the last Weekend's
results (updated
06/28/09):
Long awaited Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen obviously opens in 1st, though I'm not sure if it was because of the movie itself or Megan Fox. Did it live up to your expectations? Let us know. The Proposal slips into 2nd, this time the question being if girls go to see it for the movie or Ryan Reynolds. Doing impressively well for something with its title, The Hangover moves into 3rd. Up follows in 4th. Based on the hugely popular novel, My Sister's Keeper opens in 5th, proving that America would rather see action, comedy and animation before something serious. (Though I can't blame us, because escapism doesn't really work when you escape into the middle of someone else's problems.) Year One jumps into 6th, if you are interested in seeing Jack Black play a caveman-like character...oh wait...scratch that. The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 is in 7th, followed by. Star Trek continues to be popular, this week in 8th, in its eighth week. Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is also doing pretty well, falls into 9th. Finally, Away We Go grabs 10th place, although only in a relatively few theaters, rounding off the TOP TEN BOX OFFICE LIST.
