A
recent email from Kristijahn of the Beat Profits, to Scott Neufville.
Hello Scott!
It is nice that you keep in touch. Itīs a shame that
we donīt have access to a computer all that often, so
that we could reply more often. The reggae scene in
our city - Uppsala, is o.k. We have a couple of places
that bring jamaican soundsystems and bands every once
in a while.
A couple of weeks ago the Gladiators played here.
There are some really good reggaebands in Uppsala,
moostly roots. When it comes to dub/dancehall I donīt
really know of any more than us - the beatprophets.
Our demo CD - "Music from the other side of the fence"
is now finished, and we have the next CD recorded
allready... part II ... We just need to remix and dub
the songs. We do all remixing and recording by our
self using a 8 channel taperecorder (7 channels
working :-) )... so one need to plan the remixing
quite much, since we donīt use computers for mixing
the music.
Well...Iīm at work now...and I gotto run off...
Keep in touch!
PEACE!
Kristijahn
