the
movie, unlike alice in wonderland, actually has a nearer touch
of reality. Moreover, it's filled with modern-day morale that
people could use contemplating... It's not only depicting some
JaApanese way of living, or way of thinking if you much prefer
it, but it's portraying a universal truth that encompasses the
life of human beings; living, working, loving and the likes.
Well, the movie per se is more of a fiction, but then were not
into that aspect of the story, we're more to incline ourselves
to its essence, no matter the idea of conveying it. ANd I would
glad to rate it huge for that. Anywy, with my idea of reality,
and my wild unrestricted concept of truth, I am to attest that I
believe in finding some world of that kind within the premises
or our realm. And if I happen to find one, I'd be glad to have a
stroll in it and experience an adventure like that of chihiro.
Who knows...?

About Stealth:
I'm an anime lover... I don't only fascinate myself with the
drawings and stuff but i am very much into the stories... I find
JApanese animations and their plots remarkably unique, and
sometimes beyond reason... However, it's actually thanks to that
that I am able to operate the faculty of my mind... |

| Acclaimed Anime filmmaker Harao
Miyazaki's Oscar-winning work Spirited Away is a story
about a little girl who is forced to grow up and stop being a
whiney brat after her stupid parents (who manage to be even more
annoying than their daughter) get themselves turned into pigs. |
| What ensues is a bizarre tale liken
to Alice in Wonderland. The little girl, Sen, has to get a
job in a supernatural bathhouse working for a witch. It
starts out weird and it just gets weirder. I'm used to
bizarre Anime, but only when it has beauty, a good plot, and
creativity backing it up. This film had two-out-of-three.
It was beautifully animated, and had creative, imaginative
characters and situations. It did not, however, have a
plot that made it worthy of some of Miyazaki's other works like Princess
Mononoke. |

| Don't get me wrong, I like
"out-there" Anime, but frankly this bored me. I
can't recommend it to the average movie-goer. I would say
if you wanted to watch something with your kids that isn't as
insipid as the average kids film, this is a good idea. I
would also recommend it to Anime fans who appreciate the
artistry more than any other aspect of Anime.
I'm glad I saw it, but I don't expect to ever see it again. |
