| Tales
of apocalyptic catastrophe are hardly virgin territory for anime,
but very few anime do as good a job with the material as Spriggan:
an action-packed thrill ride that proves a torrid union between Raiders
of the Lost Arc and Akira
would produce a beautiful offspring. |
| Spriggans
are guardians of monumentally dangerous religious artifacts like the
ark of the apocalypse. They are a multinational team of
badasses devoted to keeping any kooks from bringing the terrible,
swift wrath of God down upon our noggins using their high-tech
battle suits and weapons. Normally, they have lots of
down-time, but when a cyborg gets it into his head that he should be
God and reboot the planet just for giggles, it's time to call out
the Spriggan! |
 |
|
Yee-haw! If your looking for beautifully
animated fun ride in the typical anime tradition, then this is a
must-see. Frankly, it's a must-see no matter what. It is
pretty much considered a classic any way, so if you haven't seen it,
run out and see it today! |
