Filmmaker/Actor Ivan Rogers is
very excited about his latest project, which is due
for release in the Spring of 2007. Here's a
little of what you can expect: Jesse Cole
(Ivan Rogers) is a narcotics detective who was
convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Cole does his
time and comes out looking for those who set him up:
it's payback time and he's just the man to do it.
The protagonist is everything you'd expect him to
be. He's cool, extremely calculating, and, between
his years as a narcotics cop and those spent in
prison, double hardened. This is a character
forged in the sewer of humanity.

Official: “THE PAYBACK MAN”
-Overview and Profile-“
The Payback Man” is a political/crime/thriller, 35mm
motion picture being produced by Los Angeles-based
Myriad Entertainment Group LLC. The scheduled date
for principal photography is Fall 2006. The shooting
is intended to be in the City of Indianapolis, IN
and Los Angeles, CA. The movie is being produced,
directed by, and stars actor/filmmaker Ivan Rogers.
It is being co-produced by Mr. Hector Freeman who
comes from the Dino De Laurentiis “camp,” and
British producer, Mr. Geoff Griffiths. The
screenplay was written by Mr. Daniel Exford. West
Coast G-Funk artist, Big Prodeje of South Central
Cartel, composed, co-produced, and performed the
theme song for the movie which is entitled, “The
Payback Man,” in association with Geed Up Music
(ASCAP) and Hermoso Music (BMI). The motion picture
is expected to carry
an “R” rating from the Motion Picture Association of
America. Michael Barlow (creative consultant)
of Paramount Studios had this to say to Ivan Rogers
about the script, “I do want to compliment you for
going back to the core of many of the best
black genre films of the 1970s and not making your
hero into a ‘ white knight.’ The script has a hard
edge to it, and I appreciate that.”
