Parental Warning: Plenty of sexual innuendo and combat violence with aliens and such, but I think anyone over 13 should be fine with it.
Rating: Super Review by: Mark Capitelli
This has to be the most unoriginal anime I have ever seen.  The plot is that alien forces are attacking humankind in space and a special spaceship is sent to quell the threat.  A troubled young man finds himself in the middle of the fray as the reluctant hero caught in a love hexagon with almost every female on the ship.  Soon the mystery of who he is, who the aliens are, and what role the ship must take in the battle are revealed in surprising ways.  Nadesico is like a blend of Neon Genesis Evangelion and Tenchi.  As far as anime goes, this series is somewhat standard...and excellent.
Yes, that's right, it's a winner!  Everything this series set out to do is accomplished by the end.  It has everything: action, humor, suspense, romance, and even a little tragedy.  The plot gets twisted a couple times before the end, so pay attention or you could easily loose track of things.

The series looses some points on the ending though.  I saw this series a while ago and have almost forgotten how it ends.  That speaks poorly for the series because I remember the rest of it clearly.  I recall the ending being somewhat anticlimactic and complex.  Still, overall it was a very satisfying series that I recommend you check out.
