Tempted when she discovers that her boyfriend Derek (Ron
Livingston) forgot his Palm electronic organizer before leaving
on a business trip, Stacy (Brittany Murphy) with a little
encouragement from a senior colleague Barb (Holly Hunter)
leverages her position as a TV Reality Show Assistant Producer
to delve into the details of his past love life. The pursuit
leads Stacy on an emotional roller coaster where she winds up a
little bruised and quite a bit wiser.
"Little Black Book" would be considered a "Chick Flick" if it
didn't have a little of everything for everyone. It's not often
a movie can pull this off so well, but even a 10-year-old boy
will walk away with fond memories of Bob, the farting dog. This
film's greatest merits, however, are in the message - Hidden
among the fun and intrigue, are lessons about temptation and
doing the right thing.
