Using your
finger?
by Joe De Matteo
Solid
Here is a compelling film you can get when you
don't know what you feel like watching. The
story, or I should say, the stories all have that
magic quality that having wanting to know more.
The characters all wound up fooling me, except Tom.
What I mean by that is that they were never who I
thought they would be, when I first say them.
My first impressions were almost all wrong. |
| And many things I
thought would happen, didn't. And that made a
film about some quirky people, one I might not have
enjoyed, interesting, and yes, even compelling.
The characters are a group of anything but main
stream Americans, with their own sets of morals and
standards - not that there's anything wrong with
that.
They use each other and get used by each other
and don't even wonder why they're so unhappy.
All except Mamie (Lisa Kudrow) without asking a
question, her life is a questioning. |

| DVD: One great thing about DVD is
that most films have documentaries made of them now,
and this, as well as deleted scenes and other
goodies are on the DVD. The Happy Ending DVD
is chuck full of goodies. It's one of my
favorites. |
