This is the second movie of the Dragonball series.
This time, space pirates have targeted Earth for
destruction. Why? They intend to use an alien
tree which will suck-up all the life on Earth and
concentrate its energy and power into the fruit it bears;
fruit that will endow incredible power to any who eat
it. As if this impending fate weren't bad enough, the
space pirates come from the ranks of the most feared army in
the universe and Goku and the gang will have to get past
them if they are to destroy the tree of might. As
always, it is a classic clash of good vs. evil with tons of
martial arts action.
This action-packed film is no great feat for Anime, but
the Dragonball series (TV, and film) can always be relied
upon for a good time. I recommend this film if you are
in the mood for fast-paced martial arts action in a simple,
pleasant style.
