Statement: Few things give me the same pleasure as a film.
Especially one viewed in a movie theater, empty or crowded,
good or bad, there’s something magical and wonderful about film.
Film is an escape and yet also one of art’s most potent
forms of cautionary media. A
movie is alive before you, and this makes its success all the more
important. When a film
is good, it glows before you, triumphant, striking and vibrant.
But when it is bad, then you must sit and watch a living
thing die a two hour death before you.
If you listen close enough, sometimes you can even hear the
director cry for help. This
is a truly sad thing, but it’s all part of the movie experience
and that experience is one I try to have one, two and even three
times a week. More |

Statement:
One fateful day when I
was about 13 or 14 I walked into my favorite comic book
store. I was checking out my favorite books when I noticed
something new on the wall: they started selling anime tapes. I
was intrigued enough to give one a shot. The guy running the
place suggested Ranma
1/2. I thought it was one of the strangest things I
had ever seen. I wasn't sure what to make of it, but some part
of my brain was tickled. I was hooked.
Soon I was regularly watching various: 8Man
After, Fist of the Northstar,
Akira, etc. Then
one day a friend of mine showed me Ninja
Scroll. From that day forward, I was calling myself an
anime fan.
Years later I got the opportunity to put
this site together as a sub-site of HugeReviews.com. I try to
make it as user friendly, vivid, and fun as possible. I hope

many types of film genres: human condition films (American
Beauty, Magnolia), screwball comedies (Ghostbusters,
Clue), art house comedies (The Big Lebowski,
State and Main), and the standard
drama-non-soap-opera flicks (The Shawshank
Redemption, On the Waterfront). I think
that Russell Crowe won his Gladiator Oscar
for The Insider. I believe the cave
in Empire is actually a ship. Scream
